Special programs with Sat Shree are explorations on original topics. Special programs are sponsored by New Dharma and are held in various locations.  This year the Special Program will be held in India.

Why India?

Sat Shree  will be going to India for two months beginning in December 14, 2011. The plan is to stay in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, the home of his spiritual teacher, Sri Atmananda, and Ramana Maharishi. There will be side trips to Pondicherry, the home of Sri Aurobindo’s Ashram and the international alternative community of Auroville.

This trip will expose you to the ancient tradition of spiritual India a powerful and transfomative enviroment which will have a powerful effect on your spiritual progress.

India is a different world. The force of SAT is ever present and all pervading. It penetrates and pervades the very cells of our bodies. Anyone who has been able to stay for an extended period of time in India comes back with a deeper, fuller appreciation of themselves as a Divine being.

Schedule

The trip is divided into two segments: December 23rd - January 1st  and then again Tiruvannamalai. Between segments you can visit Pondichery and Auroville. Sat Shree recommends a minimum stay in India of three weeks. Please coordinate your visit to include one or both segments.

Flights

If you have not booked your flight please do as soon as you can as we need to know your flight times to confirm the lodging and travel arrangements. Book your flight from the nearest international airport near you and to Chennai / Madras International airport in India. The best fares right now are for early December or January. Since this is peak season in India flights and lodgings are becoming increasingly limited and expensive.

Costs

We estimate the total cost for the trip (three weeks to a month) to be $3,000 per person. This includes airfare which is estimated to be $1,500 – 1800 for a round trip. Food, travel and lodging are estimated to be $1,000 and a program fee of $500 payable to New Dharma (please contact us if you need an exception). Each person is responsible for the costs of his or her own travel, food and lodging expenses. New Dharma is making arrangements for the in-India travel, lodging and some of the food requirements.
